Brasília, July 28th 2010 – After the success of the Youth Ambassadors Program, a cultural exchange project run by the U.S. Embassy taking Brazilian public school students to the U.S., the Department of State has now launched a U.S. version of the program. “We want American youth to have the same opportunity to see and learn about Brazil that Brazilian youth have had through the Youth Ambassador’s program. The United States and Brazil have much in common and we can learn much from each other, and the best way to do that is through people-to-people connections,” said the US Embassy Country Public Affairs Officer, Adele Ruppe.
